Description

Description This line is used on all our shelters and is perfect for a multitude of tasks. It a highly visible orange with reflective tracers woven in for visibility at night. It has a 2 mm diameter which give it a large enough diameter to be useful will conventional knots. It’s Dyneema core gives it an amazing strength for its incredibly light weight. Get a package for use around the camp. While the strength of EZC2 line would certainly allow it's use in bear-bagging for one or two travelers, we do not recommend this use, as the polyester sheath is abrasive and harmful to many trees. For that purpose please consider our DynaGlide line.

Good replacement lineReview by Sitabai

I purchased this line to replace the dark grey and heavier line on my UL tent (go figure that it came with a heavier, dark colored guyline). The orange is bright and even if it didn't have a reflective strand it is a huge improvement over what I had because it can be seen well at night and in the day. It's lightweight, and it cost me so little to make this upgrade. The reflective strand lights up only with the light hitting it at a certain angle - which is head-on, like you would have it the flashlight were fastened to your head. Since I wear the awesomely light Gossamer Gear headlamp, that works for me to see the guylines at night. Otherwise, just like my reflective shoe-laces, the guyline doesn't fluoresce unless the light catches it at the right angle relative to my eyes. All in all, I am incredibly grateful for GG to carry such a helpful variety of upgrade ditties for my existing gear so I don't have to shop at so many places....I got everything at one spot and couldn't be happier. I bought thirty dollars worth of this line back in July. Haven't used it because the reflectivity in the dark using different flashlights is zero. Even though the grayish reflective strands are woven into the line, it does not reflect at all in the dark and more than any other gray threads. I have been using yellow-green 2mm dyneema throwline with no reflective additions that is much more visible in the dark at a distance or closeup, and at half the price. (Posted on 11/21/15)
