Worth its weight!Review by Heather "Badger"
I hammock backpack, and I love to have some light at night when I want to read before bed. It provide some soft light and can be used around camp, either to provide a little light when using the "loo" at night, or if you are going campfire-less, you can sit around it and chat with your friends.

Great for moonless nightsReview by Jami
I was super happy to have this illuminated pillow along one trip when my headlamp batteries ran out sooner than expected. It emits a lot of light and has never run out of juice, even on long nights, if snapped to my pack during the day to pick up rays. The light does not penetrate far into the dark like the narrow beam of a flashlight, but produces a fine glow that will fill a tent or cooking area. It is also a soft light that isn't so blinding to hiking buddies as a headlamp often is. It weighs an ounce more than my headlamp. Whether I carry it or not often depends on the moon. If the moon is not likely to be shining at bedtime, I will pack this. It is also a good pillow if under-inflated. (Posted on 1/11/15)
Worth it to a persnickety 5-6lb baseweighterReview by Trinity
I don't just count ounces, I count quarters of ounces. So, as you can imagine, when I pull this out of my pack my friends are like, "whaaat???". I've justified it. The light is added bonus but really I like the way the pillow perfectly fits below my head and the plastic is nice and grippy. A friend let me borrow his one night and that's when I decided to get one - otherwise I wouldn't have because I wouldn't have justified the weight cost. I've run into the problem of not having enough gear to make a pillow and being in either wet or non-natural-pillow-making conditions. Especially on the last nights when my food pillow diminishes! Love this thing!! (Posted on 11/26/14)
