||The Riksak 17 liter backpack for hiking, which doubles as an ultralight storage sack - day bag with air mesh straps that pouches into the velcro inner stash pocket. Shoulder straps are unisex for both men, women and kids. Use it out of base camp for those exploratory forays or keep one in the trunk for that spur of the moment walk around the lake. Got bears? Simple yet effectiveReview by CenAZwalker
This is a great little no frills day/summit pack. Works well as a stuff sack for your quilt or clothing or stuff it in its own pocket and slide it in to your pack. You won't even notice it's there.
The shining feature of this pack is the shoulder straps. Hands down the most comfortable shoulder straps on this type of pack I have ever seen. (Posted on 11/12/15)
great little day packReview by 1shadowsabre
I use mine as a stuff sack for my sleeping bag. Then it is available after I set up base camp and want to go exploring. (Posted on 8/21/15)
Great for biking too !Review by nhhillrider
I like to do week long supported bike tours ... most recently Cycle Greater Yellowstone ... (great ride for a great cause). In that area the temperatures and weather vary greatly during the day and I needed to carry more gear with me than I could fit in bike jersey pockets. I decided to try the Riksak. I really love this thing! Super light and comfy and hardly notice it on me. I can now carry extra rain gear and peal off that early morning cold weather gear ... no problem. I like this so much that when I'm doing riding in spring through fall, I will just throw some "just in case" gear in the pack and use it because it so comfy. Great item. Highly recommend. Great summit pack for Philmont!Review by DripDry
I took the Riksak 2 to Philmont Scout Ranch for a hiking trip last summer to use for a daypack, and to carry gear for climbing both the Tooth of Time and Baldy. The Riksak 2 ended up being the perfect solution! The pack's lightweight and compressibility added virtually nothing to my main pack's weight and volume, but proved to be a great solution for my needs when I could leave my main pack in camp. I was very surprised at the comfort and actually forgot I was wearing it on several occasions. I ended up using it not only for the climbs, but also in basecamp and during our activities before and after our hike. What a great daypack! (Posted on 12/17/14)
