Pushing the LimitsReview by BeeKeeper

I've had this bag for over a year, and LOVE it for day trips or traveling. I carry loads much heavier than recommended, and have used it in many conditions that I probably shouldn't have such as bushwhacking and scrambling. It's showing severe signs of wear in the bottom from pushing the limits of use, but I'm happy to replace when I can no longer repair.

The pockets are a great size for 1L water bottles or bags, and various accessories. Even with my short arms, I can retrieve from the pockets without issue.

I've carried my hydration bladder by managing the hose with a a carabiner on one of the inside loops. The pack also has a separation sleeve for this purpose. If I'm carrying a heavy load, I sometimes will place a sit pad or my 1/8" pad into the sleeve.

I've stowed my hiking poles in one the outside pockets, attached through the drawstring and under the lid. They've held tight in scrambling situations.

I like the zip top compartment for my ID and keys.

I've attached my microspikes through the lid closure strap, or with a carabiner to the provided loops.

The pack washes well. Just throw it in the washing machine, then line dry.

Plenty of capacity to use for my winter snowshoe treks when I pack lots of emergency gear and layering options.

I don't use with either the sternum or waist straps, yet it rides perfect on my small frame (16.5" torso with small shoulders).

Great In Town or On the TrailReview by Erin

I have had the Quicksak for a few months now and use it frequently. It is versitile...I use it as my daily bag when running out to do errands, packed to the max when taking kids out for the day, and it is great for day hikes. Highly recommend it.

A little pricey at full price, but a great deal when it's on sale. I appreciate the simplicity, but sometimes miss having hip belts to easily stash and grab things. I like the deep side pockets and tend to use one of those for my snacks and things that would have gone in a hip belt pocket. It's durable, very light, and perfect for shoving in a car or pack to have for those improptu hikes after work or hiking from a base camp. It holds a surprising amount of things. One thing I've added to the backpack is that I cut a piece of Gossamer Gear Thinlight insulation padding to give me some padding on my boney back and also to have a sit pad conviently with me. I have had the Quiksak for 3 months now and it is such a reliable bag. I have used it every day as a commuter bag carrying my 15 inch laptop, lunch, work papers, umbrella, and jacket and I still have room for more. The fact that it is so compact and light weight makes it great for public transportation and biking. I really can't wait to get out on the trail and test it in the elements, which i am expecting it to do great. (Posted on 10/28/14)
Excellent fit and weightReview by Tim Mohler

Bought this for a lightweight day pack. Did not think I would be able to carry a lot of weight in it due to lack of hip belt and no frame of any kind. However, on a long hot hike in the Catskills I carried 5 liters of water (10 pounds) plus snacks and rain jacket. The pack hugs my back and despite carrying close to 20 pounds with no hip belt I felt well balanced and comfortable.

My shoulders were a little sore at the end of the day, but carrying that much in a frameless bag over 14 miles and 3,000 feet of elevation gain I was not surprised. Really happy with this purchase, already ordered another one for a friend. (Posted on 7/3/14)

This is my go-to day pack. For light, fluffy loads, I carry it as- is. For a more demanding day with it filled all the way, I throw a sit pad into the back and it's one of the most comfy, lightest packs on the trails. The zip pocket is a little small, but the pck itself is the perfect size for me (5"4) and a new favorite! (Posted on 6/14/14)

I took this pack out on an all day bike ride, using a water bladder and carrying lunch and a spare fleece. I didn't even know I was wearing a pack even when my 2 qt water bladder was full. The bladder was situated well in it's bladder pocket and drained dry with no kinks, the pack was very settled on my back even when I was standing on my peddles. I plan on using this pack on a long Great Divide trail Mountain Bike ride next month. The pack has enough volume that you could use it for any kind of UL hiking. I will use it on my thru hikes as a town and clothes bag. (Posted on 4/22/14)
