- Best Day Pack Review by Alan

What can I say? This without a doubt the best day pack I've ever seen or owned. The only reason not to have one is the manufacturer is out of stock. When they return buy one, you won't regret it. Light weight, great manufacturing, comfortable, and durable. (Posted on 5/3/13)Quality Price Value - I use it every day and I works wonderfully Review by mrkskynar

I use it to backpack and everyday to carry my computer, etc, for work as an engineer. It does everything I expect it to do and I have no negative issues worth mentioning except one. I would like a zippered enclosure, oh wait, the new one has a zippered enclosure! Guess I'll have to buy another one! My need arose attending scout camp - it was hot, making lots of water carry critical, but also needing the ability to tote other items you'd need throughout the day, like bandana, book(s), hat(s), sunscreen, small first aid kit, swim trunks/goggles, knife, small towel, etc.Quality Price Value
The (somewhat large) fanny pack I had to use was too small, so I've since sought a day bag that was smaller & lighter than a school backpack to haul my junk. This is doing the job nicely! I have taken out the foam back and replaced it with a thicker sitlight pad cut to fit a little better. This gives it a bit of "backbone" and gives me a sitpad when needed.
It now also has an umbrella (one of my favorite all time pieces of gear), coffee thermos, and an arcteryx wind shell in it to compliment. It would be tough to also fit a sleeping bag, food, and tent IMHO but you could with the right choices. It is a good day bag to haul under 10#. If you require more room - intend to use it on short trips - then go with the Kumo bag.
I may have to treat myself too... (Posted on 7/20/12) - Fantastic general purpose sack, slightly larger than it probably needs to be Review by Sean

I love this pack. I have had it for a few weeks now and it has come out with me for several weekend excursions as well as running around with camera equipment to take photos of a 5k run...through soap-foam.Quality Price Value
Its exceptionally well constructed, light, versatile, and quite stylish for what it is. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a large daypack for general use. In my opinion, it supersedes its definition of a "day pack". For a quick overnight its more than large enough to carry everything a hiker would need.
Get one, at the price its being sold for, its a steal! (Posted on 6/20/12) - Awesome Ingenious Design! High Value and Practical Review by mrkskynar

Wow! What a clever backpack! There are three overall compartments, ...back-pad, main compartment, and the diagonal compartment. The back-pad compartment can take several items on the far side of the pad. The main compartment is very deep, much more so than the Liter volume would make you think. Very well made, and it is exactly what I was looking for. I have purchased four packs from G' Gear, and I am most definitely a life long customer. Great Job! I've used this pack a lot since my last review (3/1/12). I've taken it running, hiking, skiing, and going to and from work - it's a champ. The drawstring top-load and large mesh outer pocket both make for very quick, easy access. It's roomy. It's very comfortable, snug to the small of the back. It's very light. The material seems pretty tough, although I did have to reinforce the web loop stitching with seam grip, but that's because I kind of overloaded it, which has me thinking I may seam grip other critical stitch points and seams so I can fill it with heavier gear (maybe use it as a climbing approach pack). The lack of a small, separate internal pocket has not been a problem so far. Small objects like a headlamp, sunblock, or keys collect predictably in the bottom corners of the pack and are easy to find. Anyway, it's a very nice, versatile pack for the money. I'm upping my review to 5 stars across the board. (Posted on 4/4/12)Value Quality Price - Good Pack Review by Wasatch Jack

This is a good pack. I also have the RikSak, and while the Mimimalist is similar in design and feel, it is larger and much burlier. All of the features work as described, and the dyneema rip-stop fabric has a great strength to weight ratio. My only complaint is the lack of an internal pocket in which to store my mandatory headlamp, swiss army knife, lighter/matches, sunscreen, & car keys. Right now they just float around loose on the bottom of the pack (like the RikSak). This is not my preference. A tiny internal pocket sealed with a zipper or velcro would improve organization, ease of access, and security for those small but important items. (Posted on 3/1/12)Value Quality Price
