Great Day Pack - Perfect for Peakbagging Review by Steven Shattuck
I have yet to find a better day pack. It is light, tough, and holds everything I need for a day in the mountains. I've taken this bag with me mostly on peak bagging trips in Colorado's high country. It comfortably fits all of the layers I need, and emergency shelter, food, and ample water to get me through a long day up high. Continuously, I'll drag, pull, and push the bag against jagged rocks as I continue to the summits, and the backpack holds up to all of the abuse. It still looks brand new after a full 8 months of heavy use! I highly recommend this bag, as it has become my go to for any day hikes, however big or small. (Posted on 10/28/16)
You Will Not be Disappointed!Review by Al P
I bought the 2015 version of this pack on clearance and it has been worth every penny. I use it on all my day hikes with ease and I even packed it for a short overnighter. Although it certainly worked on the overnight, it was a bit of a tight fit with all my gear ("ultralight" load-out). But this pack impressed me enough that I am continuing with Gossamer for my next, larger pack (most likely the Murmur).

It looks like the new version of this pack has a few extra features that are certainly worthwhile. The most notable, is the side water bottle pouch. That missing on my version and made it a bit difficult to pack for my overnight trek. Looks like Gossamer has added that feature now though.

I also use this pack as my daily carry to university. 9-months in of almost constant "5-days-a-week" use and no structural issues. I even carry my 17" Lenovo laptop in the back sleeve designed for the sleeping pad/frame! Fits like a glove.

I would recommend this pack in a heartbeat and have been impressed with it enough to seek out Gossamer Gear as a return customer. (Posted on 9/8/16)
BUY IT, Great packReview by Jeff. S
Order Processing: Fast and accurate.
Delivery: Fast, 3 days from order to door.
Description: Sold me, but really was a bit modest about this pack.
Quality: Excellent, Materials are some of the best fabrics, wears well.
Fit: Like a glove, just the right size. Holds needed items, vest, water.
Function: Draw string draw it a dream come true for me. I'm not a big fan of zippers. This bag has one on an interior pocket.. Exterior pockets are deep, holds a liter easy each side. Rear pocket is huge.
Pros: Draw string top, Shoulder Straps are vented, large deep pockets, light, great fit.
Cons: Only comes in gray. A green version would be nice.
Recommendation: Change the back seat pad to an egg crate seat. Had one and it fit perfect, think it will offer a little venting.. I would also change the draw string clamp to a lighted one. Experience says a light there will be put to good use. And a whistle buckle on the sternum strap as an option.
Rating: I give this pack a 10 out of 10. I nearly lived out of a pack like this and this has features I never thought of adding. Very well designed for its function.. Not bulky or full of zippered pockets. For my needs this pack is a perfect fit.
To Buy or not to buy : I say BUY this baby today, its a great value, excellent quality and backed by the excellent reputation of Gossamer Gear providing high quality light weight gear. (Posted on 7/27/16)
