I have a Gorilla and I love it. I walk a lot in the Pyrenees, which can be demanding, and the Gorilla has been there twice, coped well, and still looks new.

But I would like also to praise the Miniposa. Where has it gone? My Miniposa, one of the original ones, has been to the Pyrenees too, as well as all the way along the Pennine Way, the North Downs Way, the Greensand Way, the Ridgeway and many other UK trails.. it weighs less than the gorilla but carries almost as much, and after I sealed the seams it has been entirely waterproof, which the Gorilla is not. And it has more outside pockets.. it is a very fine 1lb rucksack!

Yes, we loved the Miniposa too. We have revamped it and it will be coming back out this spring in the form of a beefed up Murmur, called the Mumur DX. Keep an eye out for it!

What size do you have in the gorilla? What size would you recommend for me, 5’9″, 145 pounds?

We would recommend a size medium with a medium belt. Thanks for the question!
