Jamie McNally’s Climb Interrupted by Thunder Storm

Three of us went to Mt. Evans (a Colorado 14er) to go climb a route on the Black Wall. We had to rapell in and then climb out. Part way up the wall a huge storm, complete with thunder and lightening, came in and forced us off the wall and down to the scree field above. Here’s a few pictures of the pack and the view from the top of the wall, us retreating off the wall, and the unlikely cloud that scared the shit out of us and sent us hiding under huge boulders in the scree field. I know I owe you a detailed review and I’ll get that to you, but the bottom line is I love the pack (and the trekking poles).

Sounds like a real adventure. I am not so sure about the advisability of sheltering under rocks in a lightening storm. ;-)

Great views. Yeah it looks like a tornado, but seems like a small one. ;)
