Join leaders on a winter hike to Mt Garfield (4500), one of the most dramatic and recognizable 4000 footers in the White Mountains with fine views into the western Pemigewasset Wilderness from the old fire tower foundations at its summit. Previous winter hiking experience and full winter gear required. 12.5 miles with 3180 feet of elevation gain. Can be combined with leaders’ hike to Galehead Mountain on the following day, Feb 9th. This is an Appalachian Mountain Club trip.
