Allison decided two years ago that she would spend a few years attempting to hike the highest peaks in New Hampshire, but within a year she hiked all 48. The following year she hiked the highest peaks in New England. Allison is not ashamed of her obsessive peakbagging ways and started Northeast Peak Baggers, a meetup group, to share the hiking bug with others. In two years, she has summited over one hundred and fifty 4000-footers in New England. When not leading hikes, Allison often enjoys hiking solo. Her biggest solo accomplishment was completing a one day presidential traverse. Allison enjoys returning to New Hampshire’s 4000-footers to continue on her own hiking list where she is hiking all 48 peaks in every season. Allison’s favorite season is winter and has really been into night hiking, lately. Allison hopes she can inspire others (especially women) to get on the trail. A gear junkie, Allison is really passionate about lightweight, efficient gear, and always looking for the best product for the best price.
Home: Amesbury, MA
Outdoor Organization Involvement: Founding Organizer, Northeast Peak Baggers Meetup
Favorite Training Ground: Even with a 2+ hour drive, New Hampshire’s White Mountains are my stomping grounds. I’m happiest above treeline!
Current Plans: This year I will continue to work on my own personal peak bagging list: Hiking the New Hampshire 4000-footers in each season. I plan on doing another Presidential Traverse and tackling more of the hardest trails in New England. In July, I will spend 16 days solo hiking the John Muir Trail.
