Chris “Shutterbug” Alexander
Ultralight gear allows him to spend less energy walking so he can focus on photographing wild places. Beyond that, hiking with less shows people how they can live with fewer possessions. Conserving resources is crucial to protecting our fragile planet for future generations.

Favorite Training Grounds: Alpine areas inspire me. In California, the less-traveled parts of Yosemite and King’s Canyon National Parks were favorites. Now that I’ve moved to Colorado, I’m excited to experience all that the Rocky Mountains have to offer.
Current Plans: Anna and I will continue to share our Pacific Crest Trail book in a variety of venues including magazine articles and talks. Our hiking will be centered on our new backyard, the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
