Gossamer Gear accepts returns on clean and unused products within 30 days of receipt for a full refund less the original and / or return shipping cost.

Returns must be postmarked back to us within no more than 30 days after marked as delivered.

To qualify for a refund, returned products must be in unused, new condition, with all tags and labels still attached, packed the same way they were sent out to you. Please include a copy of the packing slip, order email, or order number with your return.

If your return fails to meet the above standards, it can be returned to sender. We are a small company, so we do not have the resources to accept used gear or gear well past our 30 day return policy

You can begin your return below using your order number and associated email, in order to generate a discounted return shipping label. 

If you would prefer to use your own shipping method instead of our discounted return labels above, you are more than welcome to do so. Please be sure to include your order number with your return.

How to Test Your Gear

For testing a shelter, we recommend setting it up on a clean and dry surface in order to inspect and evaluate. Please make sure any returned shelters are free of signs of use (dirt, debris, grass, etc.) and are folded neatly in its stuff sack with all accessories before submitting a return. We will be unable to accept returns of shelters that were used on trail.
 

For testing a pack, we recommend loading it up with trail weight in your home and wearing it for an extended period to test the comfort. You can always contact support@gossamergear.com if you have any fit or sizing questions. We will be unable to accept returns of packs that were used on trail or have sweat stains.

For testing a sleeping pad or quilt, please make sure this is done indoors on a clean and dry surface. We are unable to accept returns that include animal hair, oil stains, or strong odors.

 

Returns Process

Once we receive your return, we will then inspect it and process your refund ASAP.

We are generally able to process returns in bulk once a week depending on seasonal demands, so please allow us a few days once a delivery is confirmed for your refund to be processed.

Refunds are instantaneous on our end, but might take 3+ business days for it to be reflected by your financial institution.

 

Exchanges

We do not process exchanges in a typical manner.

The process is to return the item(s) you would like to exchange as a regular return via the process above for a full refund or store credit.

You can then place a completely new order for your desired item at your convenience.

Consumable health and personal care items such as chap stick, sun screen, healing salves, kula cloths, tooth brushes, spoons, deet spray, etc.

PLEASE NOTE: We have received returned products that could not be considered “new condition” due to stains or odors.  Some skin care, hair care, or home care products may inadvertently stain fabrics.  Some cooking odors or odors from other gear/clothing may absorb into the product. Please take care until you are certain you are keeping your products, as we may not be able to refund an item that is not sellable as new to another customer.
