Oerfect for my camino
Nice little pouch. It could fit. A 16oz water bottle or trail snacks. It attaches to my Gregory Focal 58 shoulder strap and is identical to the fabric and nearly identical color pallet. I really like the Gossamer Gear accessories. Will be looking at their packs when I replace one of my packs.
I will update my review as needed after I spend some time on trail with this. When long distance bikepacking or hiking, it is critical to keep constantly fueled with easily accessible snacks. It is just too easy to keep riding or hiking and not stop for sufficient calorie or water intake. So immediate access to water and food needs to be planned smartly. I often wear my hydration bag while biking, because it is also hi-viz and reflective and part of my safety strategy as well as hydration strategy. Hanging this feedbag on the strap will likewise help to ensure that I consistently intake calories from my trail mix gorp. I have been using one of my handlebar water bottle holders, but I am going to give this a try instead. And this can go with me when I choose to go on a hike or explore a town.
Does not attach well to my GG backpack shoulder strap. Rings on backpack are too small for toggles.
You don't have to reserve this for snacks. It also holds a small water bottle, or my compact binoculars, GPS, compass, and paper maps (I like to mix in a little retro). It would have been nice to have printed or video instructions on how to affix it to the shoulder strap though. Maybe next time? But I figured something out that seems to work.
Second one. First one chewed thru by mice. Works great. Holds plenty of snacky snacks. Chief complaint is the Velcro. Simply not strong enough. Wouldn’t really matter if the D-rings on the pack shoulder packs were big enough for the toggle on the food bag. Why you made the d-rings so small is a mystery to me, anyway
Needs stronger Velcro I just used this for a 9 day backpacking trip. TBH I used this to hold my phone for easy access to take photos. The Velcro is pretty wimpy and anytime I bumped it or pulled too hard, the top Velcro would come undone. Maybe the phone was too much weight for it? But it weighs less than if I filled it up with snacks. (I tried for comparison.) Maybe a longer or stronger Velcro option could be on the next version? Otherwise, I appreciated the option to add another pocket that was easily accessible without removing my pack.
A bit disappointing. Gossamer makes their packs with atypical straps and attachment points for accessories. The feedbag won't easily attach to other packs with a more industry standard daisy chain piece of webbing on the outside of the strap. Seems well made, just not easy to attach to another pack brand.

A different Use.... brilliant Here's a twist... Snacks in both hip belt pockets etc. etc. Water bottle holders on both shoulder straps... The "feed bag" goes under the water bottle holder (I like mine on my left side).... it holds all my wrappers / trash !! it's simply amazing at this task, out of sight, functions ideal for adding more wrappers etc and not having little bits fly away etc..... Nobody wants to hear about a "trash bag" but it works brilliantly as one on my Mariposa OG... 5 stars hands down..
Love It I’ve had mine for a couple of years and love it. It’s held up well over the miles. The pouch is a handy spot for electrolyte packets, lip balm, shades, and the clean end of a bandana. Mine only leaves the strap of my Mariposa when it’s time for a wash.

Great as a dog treat pouch I use this for dog treats while hiking, and it’s great. My dog is a bit reactive, so I love having easy access to treats for training when other humans and dogs pass. I put the treats in a plastic bag to reduce the scent and prevent any oils from getting onto the fabric itself.
Too late to be used as a feedbag, but how about a tripod ballhead protector...? Totally unexpected and very well constructed accessory that was repurposed away from being a feedbag (already have a different one, which is actually a chalk bag to hold my ginormous chicken salad roll!) to a tripod ballhead protector. If you knew how easily dirt and sand could ruin the fluidity of ballhead movement, never mind about how much any ballhead costs, you too would be keenly into finding something to slip over the top! Bought two of these. Not sure if one is bigger than the other, but one that looked bigger won't fit on the bigger of the two ballheads I have. The second one fits perfectly. Very lucky find and happy with the result. Only downer is that the price is twice as expensive in Australia as advertised here (in US dollars?). No qualms about buying anymore. Need a large one now and I'm a happy camper!
got two put one on each side of my (front) fanny pack. Peanut M&Ms in one, fun sized snickers in the other. would eliminate the foam in the bottom, you have to wash these occasionally, and the foam makes it hard to dry, ditto if you get caught in the rain.
Food/Snack Bag I only used this a little while as it tends to carry in a way that was a bit uncomfortable to me. I can imagine it would be an asset to thru hikers.
Fun and Handy Perfect for my goldfish, enjoy using it for starbursts too. We’ve occasionally used it for a smartwater bottle.
it's me, not the bag this is well made and reasonably priced. I have an 8.5 glove size, though, and it's a bit hard to get my hand down to the bottom. If it were just a bit larger in diameter, or just a bit shorter, or both, it would be perfect for me. Or maybe if I just had smaller hands...
Perfect snack bag Excellent snack bag that gives you access while on the move.
Holds my gear at easy reach I like using this and not having to dig through my small side pouches or twisting to get something out of my bag . Easy to reach my power bar.

Finally! As someone who filled all side pockets and fanny packs with snacks so I didn't have to stop, this is the best thing ever. Only drawback, you cannot fit an entire bag of chips in there.... ;)

Feedbag Feedback - Good! This pouch is superbly made - sturdy, light, fits my soft flasks and even pretty. The only improvement I would suggest is more connection possibilities, e.g. horizontal straps/velcros to connect to a wider variety of backpacks. Oh, and Gossamer Gear's customer service is awesome!
awesome snack bag! I have used this many times on my hike and it's perfect for holding a snack stash-especially with winter conditions in the White Mountains! I also can fit a snack in with my phone which will come in handy for summer hikes!

Feedbag…not just for food I keep all sorts of items in the Feedbag, but a Snickers fits nicely, too. Perfect size, form and function.
Maybe unnecessary but still good Not sure it's a necessary piece of equipment but I still like it. Can throw a good selection/amount of snacks in and easily dig them out on the fly.
